Brian Barrick, President and CEO set out creating and developing his niche in the insurance industry by following his motto of caring for those who care in 1986, when he formed Nonprofit Insurance Programs (NIP). In 2002, Brian was approached by a state association to work with them to create an insurance program for small- to mid-sized adult residential care facilities resulting in the creation of PCALIC in 2003. In 2004, Brian was one of the founders of PCH Mutual Insurance Company, Inc., A RRG. Furthering his passion for helping organizations that serve, in 2011, Brian formed AWOIP (Animal Welfare Organization Insurance Program).
Brian is a speaker, author and coach for many organizations that provide care and compassion for others across the country. He works closely with organizations to implement systems that minimize risk and exposures through tailored tools and coaching.
Brian’s many roles in the insurance industry include: Insurance Agent, Broker, Program Manager, Excess Surplus Lines Agent, and Risk Manager, allowing him to serve clients with unique programs of insurance.
In his spare time he enjoys traveling to new places, meeting people of all cultures and experiencing new things. Brian places a strong emphasis on health and well being and takes time to work on developing his mind and body.
Brian believes that life is a journey and problems become opportunities, when the right people come together.
Michelle graduated from York Technical Institute in 1995 with an Associate’s Degree in Computerized Accounting Management and started her career as a bookkeeper in a small insurance agency. She quickly transitioned into the role of Commercial Lines Agent and holds over 20 years’ experience. In 2000, she earned her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation. Michelle is focused on Customer Service, making it a priority to educate each of her clients to ensure they are all completely satisfied. When not in the office, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, children and two fur babies.
Lezlee comes to us with over 15 years of administration and customer service experience with 5 years in the insurance industry. Lezlee earned her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation in 2020. When not working she enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, and two fur babies. Lezlee also enjoys reading, bowling, and traveling.
Amanda has over ten years of customer service experience and four years of experience as a licensed insurance producer. Amanda prides herself in customer service and detail with her accounts. Amanda enjoys continually educating herself and pursuing new educational endeavors. When not working, Amanda enjoys spending time with her dog Roscoe, family and friends.
Edward graduated from The King’s College with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics degree and holds 5 years experience in the insurance industry. He desires to handle every task with diligence and professionalism and to approach every interation with service and courtesy. Outside of the office, Edward’s chief priorities are his family and his church.
Lindsey has over ten years of customer service, five years’ experience in the insurance industry as a complex liability specialist. Lindsey thrives to provide the most remarkable service. When not working, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband, two small children and two dogs. She enjoys home decorating, working in flower beds and living life to its fullest!
Andrew is a graduate of Ohio Northern University. He holds over 5 years experience in the insurance industry and has received the AINS, AIS, and API insurance designations. When he is not in the office, Andrew, enjoys supporting the local arts/museums, and traveling.
JoAnn brings over 25 years of administrative support to the PCALIC team. Her experience ranges from working on Wall Street to university campuses. Her Hispanic heritage and fluent Spanish helps the PCALIC team communicate with a wider client base. JoAnn has been with PCALIC for three years.
Christine brings over 15 years of customer service and data entry experience to the PCALIC team. From working in retail stores to family owned businesses. She enjoys learning new things and looks forward to helping people to the best of her ability. In her free time, she enjoys time with her 3 children, watching sports, and gardening.
Rebecca served our country as a member of the United States Air Force for four years before entering the insurance industry. Rebecca has over 7 years of experience in insurance and data entry that she brings to the PCALIC team. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her two children that provide her many moments of great reward. She loves spending time with family and friends and being able to make memories that last a lifetime as well as reading good books and watching movies. Rebecca also has a lifelong ambition to finish and publish a novel of her own.
Courtney completed an Administrative Assistant certification program at Carroll County Community College and brings over 6 years of Customer Service experience to the PCALIC team. She describes herself as a lifelong learner with dreams of traveling and mastering a second language. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her family and animals.
Kristi graduated with a Phlebotomy Degree from HACC. She brings over 8 years of customer service experience to PCALIC. Kristi’s main goal is to go above and beyond in regards to customer service for each client. When she is not working, Kristi spends her time hiking with her dog, Tinsley.
Estefany brings 5 years of customer service to the PCALIC team. She is bilingual and can also help our Spanish speaking clients. She thrives on providing quality customer service to create an enjoyment experience for everyone she speaks to. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her son and walking her 2 dogs.
Lexi graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College with an Associate’s degree in Business Management. She has 3 years of experience in the insurance industry and 2 years of experience managing a team of young professionals. When she is not in the office, Lexi enjoys spending time with her family and fur babies, traveling to new and exciting places and spending time in nature.
Dalton holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Central Penn College. His work background has provided him with a wide array of experience, including guest services management experience. Dalton previously spent time travelling across the country, and currently spends much of his time at church and with his friends.
Betty graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College with an Associates in Business Studies and is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree at Pennsylvania State University. She has over 12 years of experience in customer service and three years in business administration. She enjoys working with people to meet their needs. When she is not in the office she spends much of her time with her family and enjoys taking her small educational and adventurous weekend trips.
Susan graduated from Muhlenberg College with a degree in Sociology. She has 28 years of customer service experience in the directory advertising industry. She held a variety of positions during that time, including as a billing supervisor. When not working Susan loves spending time with her husband and two daughters. She also enjoys travelling for their annual family vacation, reading in her spare time and working on scrapbooking the many family photos that she has taken.
