Costume Party & Trunk-or-Treating

It’s that time of year again to carve those pumpkins and stuff your children or grandchildren’s tummies with candy. But, you can’t get the candy unless you dress up in a scary, funny, cute, or gruesome costume right? That’s what Halloween is all about and there is no better way to find out the best costume than with a costume contest at your nursing home. You can have the resident’s grandchildren or great grandchildren dress up and show off their great costumes at the costume party and then enjoy trunk-or-treating with them. Trunk-or-treating is when a crowd of people bring their cars to a big parking lot and opens their trunks and hands out candy that way. This is a great way to put a smile on your resident’s faces and a memory that will last a lifetime.
