Brian Barrick set out creating and developing his niche in the insurance industry in 1986, when he developed Nonprofit Insurance Services (NIS). In 2002, Brian was approached by a state association to work with them to create an insurance program for small- to mid-sized adult residential care facilities and in 2003 PCALIC was formed. In 2004, Brian was one of the founders of PCH Mutual Insurance Company, Inc., A RRG.
Brian is a speaker, author and coach for many adult residential care facilities across the country. He works closely with facilities to implement systems that minimize risk and exposures by providing the proper tools and coaching for their protection needs.
Brian’s many roles in the insurance industry include: Insurance Agent, Broker, Program Manager, General Agent and Excess Surplus Lines Agent, allowing him to serve clients with unique programs of insurance.
In his spare time he enjoys traveling to new places, meeting people of all cultures and experiencing new things. Brian places a strong emphasis on health and wellbeing and takes time to work on developing his mind and body.
Brian believes that life is a journey and problems become opportunities, when the right people come together.
Heather graduated from The Art Institute of York Pennsylvania. There she earned her Associate’s Degree of Specialized Technology in Graphic Design. She has over 10 years of experience in the design field and over two years in the insurance industry. In her spare time, Heather loves to visit with her family and friends, hold cookouts and bonfires, spend time with her husband, paint, and create arts and crafts for her family and friends.
Betty graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College with an Associates in Business Studies and is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree at Pennsylvania State University. She has over 12 years of experience in customer service and three years in business administration. She enjoys working with people to meet their needs. When she is not in the office she spends much of her time with her family and enjoys taking her small educational and adventurous weekend trips.
Lexi graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College with an Associate’s degree in Business Management. She has 3 years of experience in the insurance industry and 2 years of experience managing a team of young professionals. When she is not in the office, Lexi enjoys spending time with her family and fur babies, traveling to new and exciting places and spending time in nature.
Michelle has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry as a licensed agent/broker. She holds an Associate in Underwriting and an Associate in Insurance Services. She is committed to providing exceptional service to the brokers and clients that PCALIC serves. Giving back to the community is important to Michelle.She assists with the Biathlon Built For 2 charity events, United Way Day of Caring, her church bazaar and delivers library books to shut-ins.
Edward graduated from The King’s College with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics degree and holds 5 years experience in the insurance industry. He desires to handle every task with diligence and professionalism and to approach every interation with service and courtesy. Outside of the office, Edward’s chief priorities are his family and his church.
Lindsey has over ten years of customer service, five years’ experience in the insurance industry as a complex liability specialist. Lindsey thrives to provide the most remarkable service. When not working, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband, two small children and two dogs. She enjoys home decorating, working in flower beds and living life to its fullest!
Rebecca served our country as a member of the United States Air Force for four years before entering the insurance industry. Rebecca has over 7 years of experience in insurance and data entry that she brings to the PCALIC team. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her two children that provide her many moments of great reward. She loves spending time with family and friends and being able to make memories that last a lifetime as well as reading good books and watching movies. Rebecca also has a lifelong ambition to finish and publish a novel of her own.
JoAnn brings over 25 years of administrative support to the PCALIC team. Her experience ranges from working on Wall Street to university campuses. Her Hispanic heritage and fluent Spanish helps the PCALIC team communicate with a wider client base. JoAnn has been with PCALIC for three years.
Casey has nine years of experience in customer service. One of her life principles is that “No one should ever come to you without leaving better and happier.” Casey has her Bachelors of Science and is currently studying for her Master’s in Health Administration which allows her to advocate for the services that adult residential care facilities provide. Before joining the PCALIC team, Casey worked as a waitress, but found her mindset worked better in an office setting. However, she still desired to do work that involved helping others; so customer service was a perfect fit. When not at work, she enjoys traveling to new places as much as possible, spending time with her family and friends, going to sporting events and being outside!
Kaitlyn brings over seven years of customer service and three years of insurance experience to the PCALIC team. Kaitlyn’s background in claims makes her a strong advocate for her clients. She is adamant about providing the best service possible with each interaction she has with clients. Outside of the office Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her husband, new baby and two dogs. They enjoy going on walks around their neighborhood, taking long bike rides, hiking adventures, and anything to do with being outside.
Lynnette D. Schilb brings over 10 years of account management experience to the PCALIC team. She is passionate about providing a quality customer service experience and enjoys finding the right solutions for her clients. She is the mother of four boys and loves to spend time with them. Lynnette is dedicated to mentoring children with Autism, ADHD, and ODD when she is not at work. Her hobbies include writing poetry, hiking, crafting, music, and reading.
Danielle Barrick has been in the insurance industry for over 10 years with a focus on Assisted Living Facilities for seven. Danielle comes with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education. Danielle enjoys spending time with her family, going to the gym, hiking, fishing, and cuddling with her fur babies. Danielle feels that every day brings an opportunity to learn something new, and looks forward to learning more about you to assist you with your insurance needs.
Michelle graduated from York Technical Institute in 1995 with an Associate’s Degree in Computerized Accounting Management and started her career as a bookkeeper in a small insurance agency. She quickly transitioned into the role of Commercial Lines Agent and holds over 20 years’ experience. In 2000, she earned her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation. Michelle is focused on Customer Service, making it a priority to educate each of her clients to ensure they are all completely satisfied. When not in the office, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, children and two fur babies.
Amber graduated from Anne Arundel Community College with her Associates Degree. She has 3 years’ experience in insurance and customer service. Amber likes to spend her spare time with her family, cheering on the Ravens and Orioles, reading, cooking, and participating in activities outside.
Ariana graduated from Juniata College with a degree in zoology. Though her background is unique, she brings over 10 years of customer service to the PCALIC team. She is dedicated to giving each client the attention that they deserve, making sure that the insuring process goes as smooth as possible. When not working, she enjoys taking care of animals, traveling as much as possible and fitness.
Courtney completed an Administrative Assistant certification program at Carroll County Community College in Westminster, Maryland and brings over 6 years of Customer Service experience to the PCALIC team. She is driven, enthusiastic and undeniably focused. She describes herself as a lifelong learner with dreams of pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and mastering a second language. She is solicitous about helping others and strives to make a difference in the lives of others as each opportunity arises. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys outdoor activities and spending quality time with her family and animals. She believes a strong positive outlook in life brings favorable results.
Jessica holds over 17 years of experience in the customer service industry. She strives to build trust and strong long-term relationships with customers. When she’s not working at the insurance center, she stays busy coaching gymnastics, cheerleading and dance. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends, boating, traveling and shopping.
